Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, install, and maintain high voltage cable systems.
  • •Lead projects and provide technical leadership to support reliable and efficient HV cable network delivery.
  • •Collaborate with teams to conduct site assessments, surveys, and quality control checks.
  • •Prepare and validate technical proposals from Transmission & Distribution projects and produce technical documents/calculations.
  • •Provide expertise on cable system selection (bonding/earth continuity/co-axial cables) and support witnessing of third-party cable activities such as test, installation, and transport.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power engineering.
  • •5–10 years of experience in the design, manufacture, and test of HV cables for HVAC applications.
  • •Hands-on cable design and engineering experience including CYMCAP, bonding selection, short-circuit calculations, continuous current calculations, and EHV cable design.
  • •Ability to design HV cable systems (cable routing, cable sizing and insulation specifications) and produce technical documents/calculations.
  • •Understanding of IEC cable standards and CIGRE technical policies, including preparation/review/validation of technical proposals from Transmission & Distribution projects.
