Key Responsibilities

  • •Further the alpha research for the portfolio by designing and testing new predictive signals.
  • •Understand the economics of a fundamental domain and derive insights from alternative data offerings.
  • •Backtest and validate hypotheses to assess signal performance and robustness.
  • •Collaborate with senior team members to learn what it takes to be a successful quantitative researcher.
  • •Contribute to running and improving a quantitative trading business within the LATAM internship program.

Key Requirements

  • •Current MSc or PhD student in statistics, economics, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or computer science (ideally with one or two years left)
  • •Excellent programming skills in Python, C, C++, Java, SQL, or R
  • •Strong knowledge of probability and statistics (machine learning, time-series analysis, forecasting, NLP, unstructured data analysis)
  • •Ability to communicate research ideas clearly and succinctly
  • •Creative problem-solving with real-world datasets
