Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain key machinery and systems (pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors), performing regular checks and fixing breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • •Keep the facility clean and in top shape, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, painting, cleaning, and grounds maintenance such as mowing and snow removal.
  • •Follow safety protocols and regulations, including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and GMPs, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA standards; respond to emergencies.
  • •Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to solve problems, improve performance, and participate in training.
  • •Assist with installation of new equipment and take on special projects; organize tools and supplies and support product transport across the plant and to external locations.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of related experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance; or 4 years direct experience in that environment.
  • •Vocational diploma, technical diploma, or associate degree in technical maintenance or a vocational school (preferred).
  • •Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
  • •Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • •Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and read/execute work orders, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.
