Key Responsibilities

  • •Own injection molding part design and material selection for supplier components.
  • •Serve as SME for geometric dimensional tolerancing (GDT) and apply tolerancing allowances and inspection setup for molded components.
  • •Develop, manage, and improve APQP with suppliers through PPAP submission and the start of mass production.
  • •Coordinate end-to-end supplier industrialization activities between DRE and GSM, including design documents, build schedules, and progress monitoring.
  • •Lead quality reviews and drive supplier audits, issue investigation, root-cause analysis, corrective/preventative actions, and performance-metric improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years supporting high-volume manufacturing/assembly for plastics components in a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering role.
  • •Engineering analysis experience including tolerance analysis, stress analysis, and mold flow analysis, plus DFM.
  • •Hands-on supplier industrialization and SQE experience, including APQP and PPAP.
  • •Strong technical writing and analytical skills with comprehensive knowledge of quality tools/standards (IATF 16949, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, GD&T/GDT).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Master’s preferred).
