Job Summary

Operate a mixer truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete to job sites. Ensure DOT compliance by completing driver checks, vehicle inspections, and maintaining hours-of-service requirements. Safely drive, back under batching/loading hoppers, and manage concrete chute assembly, cleaning, and quality checks while following written/verbal instructions and company safety manuals. May also assist as an alternate plant operator as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver concrete safely to job sites using a mixer truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer.
•Comply with DOT requirements, including licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service, and complete the driver check-off sheet.
•Inspect and maintain load consistency by viewing the concrete load and inspecting the drum; adjust axle pressure based on load weight.
•Back truck under batching/loading hopper, assemble concrete chute(s), follow hand signals, and maneuver the truck to the delivery point.
•Clean truck and drum after loading and delivery, spray with an acid compound as required, and follow the Safety Manual and Employee Manual.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required.
•Must have a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
•Meet eligibility requirements for driving a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
•Experience with Command series and Command batch is a plus.
•Willingness to work independently in a team environment and follow safety requirements and procedures.
