•Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to deliver an industry-leading search engine focused on speed and relevance.
•Contribute to Elasticsearch by building new search features and fixing bugs while improving code readability.
•Work with a globally distributed team of engineers focused on Elasticsearch vector search capabilities.
•Drive improvements in Elasticsearch search relevance by identifying and acting on opportunities based on insight and questions.
•Collaborate with community members via issues and pull requests, including triaging and supporting contributions.

•Professional experience with search or vector databases at scale, using algorithms and libraries such as HNSW and IVF.

•Comfort working collaboratively with strong feedback practices for code, approaches, and APIs.
•Knowledge of data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra, and understanding how they work.
