Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct governance and risk/control management across Channel Islands and Isle of Man (CIIOM).
  • •Oversee CIIOM internal controls and the operational risk framework to support compliance.
  • •Serve as a key point of contact for business heads and deputise for the Chief Control Officer in governance committees.
  • •Coordinate enterprise risk assessment activity, including the annual Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA).
  • •Oversee control assurance activity (RCAs and Continuous Monitoring Assessments) and ensure incidents, risk logging, and remediation of open issues.
  • •Manage a team covering risk and control and governance, and oversee remediation of open issues and gaps.

  • •Proven experience across risk, transformation, and governance in regulated environments.
  • •Strong understanding of the Channel Islands and Isle of Man context and Wealth and Personal Banking.

  • •Ability to communicate clearly, including summarising complex detail for senior stakeholders.
  • •Hold risk or compliance qualifications (or equivalent demonstrable experience).
