Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the Section Manager in Safety Audits and verify control effectiveness; conduct in-the-field assessments of work practices and safety compliance.
  • •Define health program and reliability engineering activities for allocated assets; develop reliability block models and perform RAMS analysis to identify reliability improvement opportunities.
  • •Review asset registers and asset tactics effectiveness; develop and update maintenance plans and service strategy scopes of work (including 12-month forecasts) in SAP.
  • •Develop and maintain equipment life cycle cost models, asset management plans, and critical asset replacement plans; provide operational readiness and shutdown service strategy inputs.
  • •Manage goods, services, and spare strategies (PSTH&M, rotable spares, obsolescence) and deliver configuration management, engineering change recommendations, and asset health/asset integrity monitoring requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or BTech in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (NQF7).
  • •Postgraduate qualification in Engineering or Asset Management, Reliability, or a related field (NQF8) is preferred.
  • •6–8 years of relevant experience in Plant and HME operations.
  • •Technical knowledge of heavy mobile equipment developments in Engineering, Maintenance, and Condition Monitoring techniques.
  • •Provides technical input into maintenance practices (planning, execution, reliability) and supports solving complex problems.
