Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support for interstate natural gas pipeline engineering projects within the Engineering Design group.
  • •Design pipeline routes and support requirements, including selecting materials and calculating wall thickness for pressure ratings.
  • •Analyze soil, slope, and erosion control considerations for pipeline crossings and determine design approaches for complex crossings using horizontal direction drilling or open-cut methods.
  • •Design and manage crossings and foundations/supports for compressor stations, meter stations, and valve sites, including lift plans for critical equipment.
  • •Create/maintain technical and construction/O&M standards, and prepare/coordinate engineering reports, calculations, studies, and presentations to ensure code compliance and safety.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Engineering is required.
  • •Minimum 5 years of gas industry experience is preferred.
  • •Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (49CFR Part 192, BOCA, ACI, ASTM, ANSI, OSHA, IBC, ASCE, AISC, UPC, AASHTO, etc.).
  • •Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings, alignment sheets, geotechnical reports, and topographical survey data.
  • •Proficiency with engineering tools and modeling/software, including Bluebeam and preferred packages such as STAAD.Pro, RAM Connection, AutoPIPE, and others.
