Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as an experienced technical lead for healthcare electrical design projects, focusing on power distribution, lighting, normal/emergency systems, grounding, and fire alarm coordination.
  • •Oversee day-to-day electrical design and production activities by coordinating priorities across project managers, technical leads, and production staff.
  • •Own significant portions of technical design including calculations, equipment selection and sizing, one-line diagrams, plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • •Perform and review electrical calculations (load calculations, equipment/feeder sizing, short-circuit analysis, overcurrent protective device coordination, voltage drop, grounding).
  • •Provide hands-on guidance to junior engineers and perform QA/QC of drawings, specifications, calculations, and deliverables, supporting construction administration via submittals, RFIs, and field observations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • •5 to 7 years producing electrical design deliverables for building projects, independently resolving technical issues and guiding others.
  • •Engineer in Training certification.
  • •Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles for building electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, emergency power, grounding) and design/permitting requirements.
  • •Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD and ability to review plans, specifications, and calculations for quality, accuracy, constructability, and coordination.
