Key Responsibilities

  • •Negotiate and draft agreements for distribution of entertainment/news channels and direct-to-consumer offerings and brands across EMEA and Asia Pacific.
  • •Negotiate and draft content acquisition, advertising, and sponsorship agreements and advise on marketing and consumer law issues.
  • •Act as primary legal adviser for IMD representing third-party foreign language channels distributing into the US.
  • •Advise business on legislative and regulatory developments in EMEA/APAC including copyright, advertising, and compliance matters.
  • •Assist on project work and product launches; coordinate with specialist IP, Litigation, Privacy, and Employment lawyers as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Eligible to work in the UK.
  • •Qualified to practise law in the UK (other jurisdictions considered).
  • •Circa 6 years’ post-qualification experience or equivalent (more experience welcome).
  • •Experience leading drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.
  • •Interest in the media industry and related legal issues.
