Key Responsibilities

  • •Accurately locate and mark company facilities (transmission & distribution systems, service lines, and other facilities).
  • •Read and interpret system maps and coordinate with company crews and outside contractors for any needed re-marking.
  • •Investigate natural gas facility damages to determine root causes.
  • •Maintain working relationships with area excavators and municipalities, report suspected damages, and assure map/record accuracy.
  • •Complete and maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements, and identify/report safety and encroachment issues.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or GED) and two years of experience in natural gas, damage prevention activities, service, construction and maintenance, and/or pipeline operations.
  • •Obtain and maintain required Operator Qualifications (OQs) and classroom training/certifications for the position within six months.
  • •Valid driver’s license in accordance with Company standards.
  • •Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate, persuade, and influence internal and external customers.
  • •Ability to use the company internet/intranet, take and upload digital photos of marking activity, and use systems for data entry and retrieval.
