Key Responsibilities

•Be an end-to-end owner of our data platform infrastructure, ensuring its security, usability, and performance, working with analytics engineers, ML engineers, and software engineers.
•Make collaborative decisions about data tooling, pipeline design, and governance, implementing interfaces that simplify development for teammates.
•Continuously improve failure rates for data sources by moving alerting to the left and quarantining bugs at the source.
•Analyze data source generation, modeling, and consumption patterns; work with stakeholders to implement optimal solutions for new sources.
•Document all work with runbooks and architecture decisions to create institutional knowledge and ensure maintainability.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of experience with data infrastructure, data engineering, or platform engineering + strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Terraform; comfortable with Bash/shell scripting.
•4+ years of production experience with modern data stacks (data warehouses such as BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift, orchestration, managed ingestion services, and infrastructure as code like Terraform/Pulumi/CloudFormation).
•2+ years building and maintaining production data pipelines (ELT, streaming, or event-driven architectures).
•Experience in professionalizing data infrastructure into reliable, production-grade platforms with clear production readiness definitions.
•Bias toward action with incremental shipping, ownership mindset, and ability to work with minimal mentorship.
