Job Summary

Lead the health and safety strategy for MAFE operational businesses across the region(s), owning the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the HSE management system. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and local regulations, oversee the HSE audit plan and stakeholder performance updates, and drive digital transformation of HSE processes including checklists, incident reporting, and automated analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Set and deliver the regional health and safety strategy for MAFE operational businesses and own the continual improvement of the HSE management system.
•Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant international standards (including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 22000) and local legal requirements.
•Oversee planning and deployment of the MAFE HSE audit plan and keep stakeholders updated on HSE performance.
•Provide periodic updates to MAFE Senior Leadership on safety and health-related performance for cinemas, L&E, and country-head functions.
•Lead digital transformation of the department’s HSE processes and build unified digital libraries (policies, procedures, forms) plus automated analytics tools and dashboards.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•At least 14+ years of professional experience, including 8+ years in HSE management, with solid construction and engineering knowledge as an advantage.
•Thorough knowledge of relevant HSEQ standards and legislation (including ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 17020, plus EN 13814).
•University degree or equivalent in a technical discipline, with a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
•Strong problem-solving using management information to define clear corrective and preventative action plans.
•Strong English communication skills; fluent spoken and written Arabic is preferable, with willingness to travel regionally with occasional international travel.
