Job Summary

Manage day-to-day commercial activities for the Hawk Lead-in Fighter (LIF) project, ensuring strong commercial outcomes for both the customer and the business. Draft, negotiate, and administer moderately complex contracts and agreements, lead contract change and claims management, and prepare negotiating strategies. Partner with Procurement/Supply Chain for interface and flow-down of requirements, while supporting junior team members and delivering commercial management plans.

Key Responsibilities

•Support contract activity, including drafting and negotiating complex terms, conditions, and customer agreements.
•Accountable for day-to-day management of contracts within the commercial area of relevant BAE Systems Australia businesses.
•Manage contract activities such as negotiation of contract change and administration of claims.
•Ensure commercial exposures are addressed through appropriate contract frameworks, including export controls, finance, product safety (insurance), and intellectual property rights.
•Deliver commercial interface with Procurement/Supply Chain, prepare and deliver Commercial Management Plans, and support junior team members and negotiating strategies.

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience in a commercial role supporting contract activity, negotiations, and commercial outcomes.
•Relevant tertiary qualifications.
•Strong strategic mindset and excellent written and oral communication with internal and external stakeholders.
•Ability to lead or support moderately complex negotiations and maintain stakeholder relationships.
•Computer literacy with intermediate knowledge of MS Suite (SharePoint and Oracle familiarity desirable).
