Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and maintain cost governance frameworks, including CBS aligned to WBS and contract pricing schedules, baseline budgets, contingencies, and audit trails.
  • •Lead cost control and forecasting activities, including commitments, accruals, cost of work performed, FAC/EAC, and monthly Budget versus Actual reviews with variance root-cause analysis.
  • •Produce and standardise commercial reporting (BvA, Final Forecast Cost, EAC/FAC, cash flow curves, earned value metrics, and change order impacts) for leadership and clients.
  • •Manage change and claims by evaluating variations, quantifying cost/time impacts with quantity surveyors and planning, maintaining change logs, and supporting claims substantiation/negotiation with legal and contracts.
  • •Maintain the cost risk and opportunity register, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and supporting internal/external audit and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •10-15 years of relevant experience on major projects, preferably within a professional cost consultancy.
  • •Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Finance, or Engineering.
  • •Strong knowledge of FIDIC/bespoke forms, change management, and claims.
  • •Proficient with cost systems (e.g., ERP, cost control tools), Excel/Power BI; familiarity with EVM.
  • •Detailed knowledge and experience in real estate community development, roads, utilities infrastructure, and airports, with supply chain and construction industry technical matters (e.g., procurement routes, value management/engineering).
