Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer electrical construction contracts from design through commissioning and closeout, reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and contractor submittals for compliance
  • •Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure design alignment and timely project execution
  • •Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to design, specifications, and safety standards, and monitor project schedules and progress reporting
  • •Develop and review electrical designs including power distribution, lighting, control, and fire alarm systems, and prepare drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • •Witness testing and commissioning of fire alarm systems and coordinate with AHJs, including municipal inspectors, to ensure systems meet performance requirements

Salary: CAD 85,000 - 98,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Power Engineering Technology
  • •6+ years of relevant experience in electrical construction, design, and field verification
  • •Strong experience with contract administration on construction projects
  • •Certification or eligibility for: C.E.T. (Certified Engineering Technologist) in Alberta (ASET) – preferred
  • •Fire alarm certification/experience: CFAA certification or equivalent (preferred) and proven experience with ULC fire alarm standards
