Job Summary

Build and operate cloud-managed, highly distributed data infrastructure as part of ByteDance’s Site Reliability Engineering organization. You’ll own the service lifecycle end-to-end, design monitoring and software platforms for service-oriented architecture, and develop scalable components using Kubernetes and data technologies. Respond to incidents, run blameless postmortems, and improve reliability, efficiency, and delivery velocity across Data AML, Data Center & Supply Chain, Data Infrastructure, and Data Architecture teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and improve the full service lifecycle from inception and design through development, deployment, operation, and refinement.
•Design and implement software platforms and monitoring frameworks for service-oriented architecture (SOA).
•Develop and manage cloud-managed data infrastructure components using technologies such as Kubernetes, Redis, MySQL, and Flink.
•Create scalable mechanisms such as automation to improve reliability, efficiency, and delivery velocity.
•Support users, manage incident responses, and run blameless postmortems to continuously improve systems.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
•3+ years of programming experience in C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or Rust.
•Familiarity with Unix/Linux system internals, networking, and distributed systems.
•Experience with MySQL, Redis, Nginx, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
•Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
