Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce cost estimates covering materials, subcontractors, purchased equipment, and labor to support Account Managers’ bidding and project pricing.
  • •Develop detailed scope and compile estimates using plans/specifications, scope definitions, and project data.
  • •Create detailed cost estimates, including system sketches, exceptions/exclusions, preliminary proposals, and vendor/subcontractor quotes.
  • •Perform take-off and pricing of purchased equipment to ensure accuracy (quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options).
  • •Review bid documents and proposals for conflicts/constructability issues, lead pre-bid scope meetings, and identify cost savings and risk items; assist with acquisition and customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements

  • •Four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
  • •Project management and/or HVACR-related work experience.
  • •Experience with construction estimating, project bidding, and/or procurement.
  • •Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and HVAC systems, electrical systems, and temperature controls.
  • •Understanding of construction methods/practices with ability to communicate with and direct subcontractors to obtain proposal information.
