Key Responsibilities

  • •Determine PCB layer stackups, select component packages, assess routing feasibility, and perform signal routing for digital, analog, RF, and power conversion.
  • •Create and maintain ECAD libraries.
  • •Create and release fabrication documentation for PCBs.
  • •Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to improve design rules, constraints, and design-for-test/manufacture guidelines.
  • •Use PCB design tools, evaluate and adopt new tools, and train team members to use them.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 1+ years of professional PCB layout experience, or 3+ years of professional PCB layout experience in lieu of a degree.
  • •2+ years of PCB layout and routing experience with one or more of: modern passive/active electronics, surface-mount, RF components, or fine-pitch/high pin-density components.
  • •1+ years of experience with ECAD libraries and library configuration management.
  • •Demonstrated understanding of design for manufacturability, assembly, and test.
  • •Experience with Mentor Xpedition and/or Altium Designer (Mentor Xpedition preferred).
