Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform conceptual, FEED, or detailed design analysis and develop designs per project scope, documentation, codes/standards, and McDermott procedures within schedule and budget.
  • •Address complex, non-standard piping problems independently and report risks early to Project Management and the Department Manager.
  • •Prepare detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and procedures.
  • •When acting as Lead Engineer/area lead, direct discipline engineering design execution: plan, organize, assign tasks, manage manpower and budgets, and ensure interfaces and deliverables are clearly identified.
  • •Lead or support reviews and governance activities, including 3D model checks (30%/60%/90%), audit support, KPI monitoring with corrective action, and discipline performance evaluation of piping team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • •15–20 years of experience as a Piping Engineer in oil and gas with a major contractor performing conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design.
  • •Previous experience as Lead Piping Engineer on FEED and EPC projects with multi-offices project execution.
  • •In-depth knowledge of Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design phases, including design techniques and applying codes, standards, and guidelines.
  • •Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, ASME, API, BS, NFPA) and tools such as SP3D/E3D/Navisworks.
