Job Summary

Interpret complex internal/external issues in the Piping discipline and recommend best practices for oil & gas engineering projects. Lead conceptual, FEED, or detailed design analysis and produce calculations, analyses, and design reports within scope, schedule, and budget. When acting as lead, direct piping engineering execution, manage interfaces and deliverables, support 3D model reviews, and guide discipline performance through audits, KPI monitoring, and coordination with project teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform conceptual, FEED, or detailed design analysis and develop designs per project scope, documentation, codes/standards, and McDermott procedures within schedule and budget.
•Address complex, non-standard piping problems independently and report risks early to Project Management and the Department Manager.
•Prepare detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and procedures.
•When acting as Lead Engineer/area lead, direct discipline engineering design execution: plan, organize, assign tasks, manage manpower and budgets, and ensure interfaces and deliverables are clearly identified.
•Lead or support reviews and governance activities, including 3D model checks (30%/60%/90%), audit support, KPI monitoring with corrective action, and discipline performance evaluation of piping team members.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•15–20 years of experience as a Piping Engineer in oil and gas with a major contractor performing conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design.
•Previous experience as Lead Piping Engineer on FEED and EPC projects with multi-offices project execution.
•In-depth knowledge of Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design phases, including design techniques and applying codes, standards, and guidelines.
•Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, ASME, API, BS, NFPA) and tools such as SP3D/E3D/Navisworks.
