Job Summary

Design and support technical documentation for innovative automotive chassis system, structural, and body system designs. Assist in managing release of drawings and engineering documentation, including DFMEA and DVP&R. Create 3D model concepts for review, then produce 2D drawings for production and manufacturing. Develop drawing mark-ups, stack analysis, and component drawings using GD&T to enable fabrication and validation.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage release of technical documentation, including drawings, DFMEA, and DVP&R.
•Create 3D model concepts for discussion and approval.
•Create 2D drawings of approved 3D models for production and manufacturing.
•Develop drawing mark-ups and stack analysis.
•Produce component drawings using GD&T.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (Mechanical/Production) is required.
•5-7 years of experience in automotive design across the full design process (idea conception through production) is preferred.
•Experience with automated drafting and 3D modeling is required.
•Hands-on experience producing 2D drawings of approved 3D models for production and manufacturing.
•Experience with DFMEA and design validation and reporting (DVP&R) is expected.
