Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in the successful operation and management of the town planning team.
  • •Lead and assist on planning policy projects, including support for local authority policy and strategy development and delivery of local plan evidence studies and strategic growth commissions.
  • •Provide strategic planning advice to client and internal teams and represent the organisation through stakeholder relationships and conference/network attendance.
  • •Ensure projects are delivered on budget and within programme timelines, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams for execution.
  • •Oversee planning policy team deliverables and implement quality assurance and health and safety principles, while contributing to business development and tender preparation.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant relevant experience leading and contributing to planning policy and strategy development in a consultancy or public sector role.
  • •Client focus with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working approach.
  • •Existing relationships with clients and local authorities.
  • •A business development mindset with demonstrable experience of work winning and developing client relationships.
  • •A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline and membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional body.
