Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles in accordance with state and federal transportation laws and follow required routes while observing all safety regulations.
  • •Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, routine vehicle checks, and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.
  • •Manage loading and unloading by maneuvering truck/trailer into loading areas, following loading crew signals, and using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain accurate delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver paperwork to the appropriate staff when the route is complete.
  • •Support safe yard operations: organize trailers, assist with yard inventory control, help stage deliveries, and maintain cleanliness and safety/required trainings.

Key Requirements

  • •Possess and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (or chauffeur's license as required) and a valid DOT physical for vehicles over 10,000 lbs.
  • •Pass and maintain background and drug testing required by DOT regulations.
  • •Experience operating a forklift and straight truck, with the ability to push and pull material from bins.
  • •Ability to comply with DOT regulations and maintain required regulatory logs (e.g., electronic logging devices).
  • •Ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted and perform physical tasks for 8+ hours (walk/stand/sit, bend/stoop, reach, and climb stairs).
