Job Summary

Join the newly established Compute Platform SRE team to support TikTok’s Big Data services and data warehouse reliability. You’ll help uphold SLAs, manage incidents and postmortems, and continuously optimize performance across major query engines and platforms. Work with product and development teams to integrate reliability into the software lifecycle, automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling, and contribute to capacity and demand planning using modern SRE/DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure the reliability of major data warehouse products, services, and query engines, including ClickHouse, Spark, Presto, and Doris.
•Uphold SLAs by meeting service level objectives and responding promptly to outages and system issues.
•Analyze performance and reliability patterns to identify bottlenecks and implement proactive measures to prevent disruptions.
•Lead troubleshooting and resolution for service incidents, including coordinating postmortems with cross-functional teams.
•Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management to reduce manual interventions and improve service quality.

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
•Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
•In-depth understanding of Linux, computer networking, and databases.
•Proficient with common SRE/DevOps open-source toolsets, system monitoring tools, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
•Strong coding skills in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Shell, Java, Go) and familiarity with technologies such as ClickHouse, Hadoop, Doris, Spark, Presto, and Kubernetes.
