Job Summary

Serve as Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Mechanical team supporting the F-16 Modular Mission Computer (MMC) programs, focusing on production and depot sustainment. Apply mechanical engineering to resolve production issues, maintain the technical baseline, and coordinate mechanical analyses and design change validation. Collaborate across disciplines to support requirements through integration, testing, qualification, production, and sustainment, while addressing obsolescence, supplier-driven changes, and design/cost improvements in McKinney, TX.

Key Responsibilities

•Resolve production issues and maintain the qualified technical baseline for the F-16 MMC.
•Lead the Mechanical team by managing daily tasks and priorities.
•Serve as primary mechanical interface to Program Management, Chief Engineer, IPT leadership, Operations and Supply Chain, applying cost and schedule management methods.
•Collaborate across disciplines to ensure requirements are addressed across integration, testing, qualification, production, and sustainment.
•Address obsolescence and supplier-driven changes by overseeing supplier verification, evaluating nonconformances, and implementing design/cost-saving improvements.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
•U.S. government issued security clearance capability is required; U.S. citizenship is required.
•Experience with electronic product packaging (circuit card assemblies, printed wiring boards, electronics chassis, etc.).
•Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) including model creation and interrogation with tools such as PTC Creo (preferred), NX, or Solidworks.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; active and existing clearance required after day 1.
