Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead strategic process and people leadership for the transportation planning discipline’s project/program involvement.
  • •Oversee complex transportation planning projects, ensuring contributors know deliverables/timelines, manage budgets, track hours/expenses, and supervise contractors and employees.
  • •Drive compliance and accountability with federal, state, and local planning practices, approval processes, zoning laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Maintain and evolve the discipline’s vision/mission, ensuring continuous improvement in certifications, accreditations, and client value ratings.
  • •Provide leadership for proposals and project scopes, pricing, budgets, and performance metrics; translate complex data into planning and regulatory conclusions.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • •15+ years of Transportation Planning experience in a corporate environment.
  • •Strong working knowledge of planning practices, approval processes, zoning laws, permitting requirements, and local/state/federal regulatory frameworks.
  • •Demonstrated ability to establish, implement, and manage multiple large-scale discipline-related programs, documents, projects, and practices.
  • •Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage staff and interact effectively with employees at all levels.
