Job Summary

Provide on-site supervision of the Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, and quality control while delivering services to customers. Serve as the lead engineer on most jobs, ensure customer data accuracy and timeliness, and identify/correct operational issues. Handle BHA assembly and coordinate with the Directional Driller to ensure compatibility and correct tool face references, completing required reporting and training.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise the on-site Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, and quality control.
•Serve as the lead engineer on most jobs and ensure customer-facing data is accurate, timely, and meets service quality standards.
•Provide technical consultation to customers, including mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, and drilling tendencies.
•Test tools and equipment before, during, and after each job; identify and correct operational problems to prevent or minimize service impact.
•Ensure BHA assembly follows plans and coordinate with the Directional Driller for compatibility, parameters within specification, and correct tool face references; complete required forms and reports.

Key Requirements

•Completion of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of one year of field experience in M/LWD.
•Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to required standards.
•Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and directional survey information and other well site data.
•Must possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
•Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.
