Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely operate assigned fork truck to move bales, boxes, racks, bins, equipment, and scrap rolls; unload van trailers and load outbound trailers/export containers.
  • •Sort and grade items for baling, weigh/grade/stage material, and catch and stack bales in designated areas while following loading patterns.
  • •Operate and maintain assigned baler unit and equipment to produce maximum-density bales; monitor automatic cycling and maintain baler production reports.
  • •Complete trailer/container inspections, check loaded material meets required specifications, and turn in unloading manifests to assigned personnel.
  • •Inspect equipment daily, perform daily PMs per maintenance standards, participate in 5S, and support housekeeping/cleaning tasks around docks, conveyors, pits, and the yard.

Key Requirements

  • •Have past work experience operating a fork truck and pallet jack for safe handling of bales, boxes, racks, bins, equipment, and scrap rolls.
  • •Have experience with baling system equipment and knowledge of scrap material.
  • •Be able to manually push, pull, and lift equipment and materials as needed (with mechanical means used when possible).
  • •Be able to work well with others as part of a team.
