Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage a caseload of workers’ compensation indemnity cases from inception to resolution, maintaining communication with clients, producers, and employers via phone and written correspondence.
  • •Conduct and direct investigation to determine AOE/COE, including 24-hour 3-point contact to EE, ER & MD.
  • •Establish initial reserves in a timely manner and maintain accurate reserves based on probable outcome on all claims.
  • •Authorize appropriate medical care, issue timely indemnity benefits, and manage legal aspects of all claims.
  • •Determine settlement value and resolution while moving all cases toward appropriate closure using a diary system for timely benefit administration.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or one to two years related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •California Workers’ Compensation experience is required.
  • •Multiple years’ experience handling Workers’ Compensation claims, including indemnity and legal claims.
  • •WCCA or WCCP designation preferred.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
