Job Summary

Originate residential 1st mortgage loans for outside referrals, taking applications through completion of Fannie Mae Form 1003 and managing each loan from application to closing. Build and maintain referral relationships, stay current on mortgage products and underwriting guidelines, and coordinate documentation and timely updates to applicants and branches. You’ll manage your loan pipeline, complete required reports, and operate within the bank’s risk appetite while delivering a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain referral contacts (realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts).
•Take and complete applicant applications using Fannie Mae Form 1003 and manage loan processing steps.
•Utilize daily rates, credit reports, Loan Prospector responses, and transmit loans to LOMAS.
•Collect documentation, deliver loan packages within management time frames, and manage loan pipeline through closing.
•Provide timely updates to branches and/or applicants and attend required Consumer Lending meetings.

Key Requirements

•At least two years of mortgage lending experience.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines, plus residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory (four-year college degree preferred).
•This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment.
