Job Summary

Hands-on manufacturing technician responsible for keeping a production line running to meet hourly targets in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You’ll setup, troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, lead line improvement efforts, and schedule maintenance to maximise service levels, while communicating effectively with the team and adapting to multiple shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensuring the line hits its hourly targets and is set up to maximise performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
•Be the first response to any breakdowns or setup issues on your line and perform root-cause problem solving
•Maintain plant and machinery to a high standard through preventive maintenance (PPM)
•Take the lead on troubleshooting and implement fixes in a timely manner
•Proactively find ways to improve line performance using innovation and teamwork

Key Requirements

•You hold a level 3 engineering or maintenance qualification
•Strong mechanical aptitude and thrive in a fast-paced FMCG environment
•You can troubleshoot and repair sophisticated machinery (electrical, pneumatic or mechanical systems)
•You can respond urgently to immediate problems but be disciplined to plan routine tasks, future improvements and preventative maintenance
•You are an effective communicator who can influence and keep others informed
