Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop healthcare facility planning outputs such as room schedules, department briefs, and accommodation requirements.
  • •Review healthcare design proposals to ensure alignment with operational and clinical requirements.
  • •Support strategic healthcare planning by analysing service activity, demand, and capacity, and translating clinical/operational needs into estate and accommodation solutions.
  • •Lead business case development, including Strategic Outline Cases (SOC), Outline Business Cases (OBC), and Full Business Cases (FBC), plus investment option appraisals and benefits realisation planning.
  • •Analyse activity, workforce, occupancy, and utilisation data; prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for client and senior stakeholder teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in an associated discipline such as Healthcare, Healthcare Management, Architecture, Planning, Public Health, Health Science Research, or Estate Management.
  • •Experience working within the health sector, healthcare consultancy, or healthcare design sectors at a senior level.
  • •Understanding of healthcare service planning and healthcare estate planning processes.
  • •Experience working with clinical and operational stakeholders.
  • •Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
