Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform task-lead civil engineering work on transportation projects for clients across the Pacific Mountain West District.
  • •Provide guidance and leadership to junior team members and help deliver technically sound engineering solutions with a focus on quality.
  • •Support project managers with scope, schedule, budget, changes and risk, and plans/specifications/estimates and/or bid packages.
  • •Maintain QA/QC to ensure cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met for engineering activities and align with standards and client requirements.
  • •Coordinate with other design disciplines and support transportation business development efforts and client engagement/pursuits across the district.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or closely related) from an accredited program.
  • •5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering with prior civil design experience.
  • •Engineer in Training (EIT) certification; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
  • •Demonstrated experience working with public agencies and applying civil engineering principles to permitting and project work.
  • •Proficiency with technical writing and tools including Microsoft Office, Revu, document control software, and civil design software (Civil 3D; also MicroStation/OpenRoads).
