Job Summary

Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Diagnose, adjust, and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic issues, using test instruments and road testing. Serve as a lead/consultant on jobsites, maintain parts inventory, complete DOT forms and repair documentation, and ensure all work complies with safety, health, environmental, and federal regulations. Eligible for hourly pay with potential incentives.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic truck equipment systems using test instruments and road testing.
•Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
•Document work and findings by completing DOT forms and uploading photos of repair work, parts used, and findings via a proprietary TRAIT application.
•Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections, and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combination such as degree/certification beyond HS diploma/GED or 5 years’ experience).
•At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•Ability to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
•Hold a current and valid DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining until expiration (or DOT physical required if 4 months or less).
