Key Responsibilities

  • •Advance foundation models on structured data and explore world models for business problem solving.
  • •Create novel benchmarks and development of architectures and models for business-relevant scenarios.
  • •Provide business AI problem statements, frameworks, and datasets to enable academic research.
  • •Stay current with new research findings, compare them with internal work, and translate breakthroughs into conference publications.
  • •Collaborate with the SAP-RPT-1 team and academic partners; supervise PhD students during internships or collaborations.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, physics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • •Academic background in Foundation Models / Machine Learning on large-scale structured data or World Models, supported by publications at top scientific conferences.
  • •Extensive research experience with machine learning on structured data and a deep understanding of developing foundation models on structured data.
  • •Experience in Causal AI as it relates to foundation models on structured data (ideal).
  • •Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow (optionally knowledge graph technologies).
