Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership for planning, designing, and executing CDP implementation within USCG-designated cloud environments.
•Oversee data ingestion and data sharing implementation, routine maintenance, and comprehensive sustainment between designated systems and the CDP.
•Drive utilization of the Confluent platform and Apache Kafka to reduce information silos and improve enterprise data accessibility.
•Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasking and root-cause troubleshooting support for the CDP platform.
•Oversee administrative tasking, performance tuning, system configurations, and enforcement of engineering standards to meet USCG software, configuration, operational, and security requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 105,000 - 135,000 annually

Key Requirements

•DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification active and in good standing (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+).
•Advanced programming and scripting proficiency in Java, .NET, or Python.
•Expert-level understanding of system engineering processes, requirements analysis, configuration management, and systems architecture concepts.
•Ability to complete the USCG Privileged User Management Program (PUMP) process to obtain an RBAC administrative account.
•Prior hands-on production-level architecture, configuration, or management of the Confluent platform and Apache Kafka ecosystems.
