Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, organize, and conduct training for Fleet sailors in support of Aegis Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, Virginia.
  • •Provide subject matter expertise for ATRC curriculum development supporting operational employment of the Aegis Combat System.
  • •Deliver classroom instruction and support tactical lab training, including dynamic teaching, assessment, and formal performance appraisal with improvement recommendations.
  • •Review and analyze Navy Aegis Combat System engineering capabilities/limitations and operational doctrine, integrating concepts to optimize system application in dynamic tactical environments.
  • •Prepare, review, and customize lesson plans and instructor guides; conduct course reviews, training gap analysis, and training effectiveness evaluation; provide feedback and recommendations for course improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline (or equivalent education, certifications, training, or work/military experience).
  • •3 years of experience with the applicable system/process, including responsibility for teaching to others in a master level training environment (surface, subsurface, integrated air and missile defense, Strike, or C4I).
  • •Of the 3 years, 2 years as an instructor in a Navy training environment, including curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, and evaluating instruction and student outcomes.
  • •Experience interfacing with training systems/simulations to present learning objectives effectively and correctly.
  • •Secret clearance required and U.S. citizenship required.
