Key Responsibilities

  • •Accountable for ZEL risk oversight as a 2nd line of defense, including risk assessments, advisory, and controls for material risks and implementation of Group Risk Management frameworks.
  • •Lead the ZEL Risk function, including organization of the ZEL Risk and Control Committee (RCC) and governance of risk activities.
  • •Drive risk awareness, support early risk identification, and advise senior management on identifying, analysing, and mitigating risks (quantitative and qualitative).
  • •Own risk-related regulatory reporting and advise management on regulatory standards (including Solvency II and ORSA) and preparation of risk regulatory reports.
  • •Provide 360° risk reporting to governance bodies, collect relevant risk information independently, collaborate with the 1st line on reviews and challenge, and support adoption of GRM tools and methodologies.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 15 years of professional experience handling risk matters in a financial services industry, with expertise in actuarial life risk and operational risk management.
  • •Strong understanding of the insurance industry and its current and future challenges.
  • •Expertise managing regulatory topics, including engagement with boards of directors.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of Solvency II and other regulatory frameworks relevant to Zurich EuroLife, including interaction with regulatory/supervisory authorities.
  • •Academic degree in actuarial, risk management economics, law, or a related field; fluent English required.
