Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure smooth day-to-day running of study protocols and data collection, applying knowledge of study design, conduct, analysis, and data management concepts.
  • •Run queries to check trial databases and take steps to correct missing, contradictory, or incorrect data; produce regular and ad-hoc reports and manage users.
  • •Maintain research and administrative databases to produce clean datasets for statistical analysis, including coding/abstracting medical and routine data.
  • •Record, code, and validate incoming forms, checking for inconsistencies, violations, and unusual or adverse events.
  • •Support study management and compliance activities, including coding lists, SOP documentation, document preparation/distribution, and cover/supervision of the study coordinator when required.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant biomedical or associated subject, or relevant work experience in study/clinical trial management or as a clinical research nurse.
  • •Aptitude for large and/or complex relational databases, including SQL Server and REDCap, with query/report writing and data verification/cleaning techniques.
  • •Experience using statistics packages such as SPSS, Minitab, BMDP, or SAS.
  • •Understanding of medical terminology and experience interpreting and coding medical data.
  • •Excellent office management and clerical skills, including computing and office automation (e.g., email, word processing, document layout, mail merge).
