Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide end-to-end ownership of functional testing and inspection processes, including defining and optimizing process parameters and measurement stability.
  • •Manage inspection/control strategies and ensure consistent inspection and functional testing output quality across tools, people, and shifts.
  • •Establish strong process control by defining process windows, capability targets, and long-term monitoring systems; maintain robust documentation and standard work.
  • •Lead structured RCA to detect and eliminate sources of variation impacting FPY and yield, ensuring corrective actions are verified and sustainable.
  • •Lead introduction and qualification of new fixtures, tools, software, manual processes, and machine upgrades, converting inspection data into actionable decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Optical, Materials, or related engineering.
  • •Minimum 5 years of experience in optical fabrication and functional testing and inspection.
  • •Experience with tooling mechanics, inspection methods, functional testing methods, and process development.
  • •Demonstrated ability in structured problem solving, data analysis, RCA, and process improvement.
  • •Proficiency with manual and automated functional testing and inspection tools; spectrometry equipment required.
