Key Responsibilities

  • •Build production-grade Python modules for Excel ingestion, template parsing, data transformation, validation, and dataset consolidation.
  • •Develop backend services, APIs, and Azure Function-based pipelines to move data from Excel uploads (SharePoint/ADLS) into databases for downstream reporting.
  • •Implement business rules, exception reporting logic, and audit trails based on technical designs from the Technical Lead.
  • •Write clean, testable, well-documented code with high unit-test coverage and actively participate in peer code reviews.
  • •Collaborate with Data Science to operationalize ML models by building inference APIs, batch scoring jobs, and result-persistence layers, while troubleshooting and supporting go-live hypercare.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years hands-on Python 3.10+ development with OOP and modular design.
  • •Strong Excel processing using openpyxl, pandas, xlrd/xlwings, and handling complex Excel structures (merged cells, formulas, pivot tables, named ranges).
  • •Experience building and consuming REST APIs, including Streamlit applications and FastAPI/Flask.
  • •Proficiency with Git and participating in CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), plus testing with pytest and unit/integration tests.
  • •Comfort working in Scrum (JIRA/Azure Boards) and implementing business rules with audit trails, version control, and exception reporting logic.
