Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the primary liaison between the Law School, University Library, and campus community while leading all Law Library operations.
  • •Develop and evaluate policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives aligned with Law School priorities and mission.
  • •Oversee legal and interdisciplinary materials acquisition, organization, and preservation to support curriculum and research needs.
  • •Design and deliver legal research instruction, workshops, and orientations; provide individualized academic support and teach assigned courses.
  • •Lead talent management for Law Library staff and student workers, monitor operational metrics, and prepare statistical reports for decision-making and accreditation/compliance needs.

Key Requirements

  • •American Library Association–accredited master’s degree in library or information science.
  • •Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • •Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in an academic law library.
  • •Demonstrated expertise in legal research, reference, and teaching within an academic law library.
