Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and own Pocket’s legal function end-to-end as the first in-house legal hire, progressively bringing legal knowledge and processes in-house.
  • •Handle corporate governance and board-related matters, including equity/ESOP and fundraising/financing support.
  • •Draft, negotiate, and standardize commercial agreements, including NDAs and vendor/manufacturing/partnership/enterprise agreements.
  • •Manage employment and people-related legal matters, including employment/contractor agreements, separations, IP assignment, and policies/handbook support.
  • •Own privacy and compliance initiatives, coordinate internal compliance programs, manage outside counsel and legal spend, and proactively identify legal risks.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of relevant legal experience.
  • •Strong training at a leading law firm and/or high-growth technology company.
  • •Experience working with venture-backed technology companies.
  • •Strong corporate and commercial legal background with familiarity in employment matters and privacy/compliance.
  • •Comfort operating across a broad legal scope and distinguishing material business risk from theoretical legal risk.
