Key Responsibilities

  • •Improve Elasticsearch components that support concurrent and consistent indexing across multiple machines.
  • •Maintain the cluster coordination system to sustain high performance as nodes join/leave and data moves around, preserving safety and liveness.
  • •Push limits on shards, nodes, and petabytes that Elasticsearch can handle today.
  • •Investigate issues including performance or concurrency and propose solutions.
  • •Support our engineers with the harder problems.
