•Improve Elasticsearch components that support concurrent and consistent indexing across multiple machines.
•Maintain the cluster coordination system to sustain high performance as nodes join/leave and data moves around, preserving safety and liveness.
•Push limits on shards, nodes, and petabytes that Elasticsearch can handle today.
•Investigate issues including performance or concurrency and propose solutions.
•Support our engineers with the harder problems.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: NOK 949,500 - 1,502,000 annually

•Strong core Java skills and familiarity with standard data structures, concurrency constructs, and newer language features.

•Experience managing projects involving multiple engineers and owning technical design end-to-end.
