Job Summary

Perform basic to intermediate solar operational and maintenance tasks under guidance, including troubleshooting and inspecting solar array electrical/mechanical components. Assist with tracker system maintenance, DC/AC system maintenance and corrective work, and component replacement across photovoltaic and inverter systems. Maintain tools, vehicles, and work locations safely, complete basic Lockout/Tagout, perform preventive maintenance, and support solar farm upkeep recordkeeping across devices while assisting with Battery Energy Storage System duties.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition.
•Perform inspections and troubleshooting for solar array components, including tracker system maintenance and troubleshooting.
•Carry out basic DC system maintenance (Solar Tech 1) and AC/DC system maintenance and troubleshooting (Solar Tech 2).
•Complete preventive maintenance, corrective work, component replacement on photovoltaic and inverter systems, including battery energy storage system duties at the Solar Tech 2 level.
•Perform basic Lockout/Tagout activities, manage solar farm maintenance records in a work management system, and support site access tasks such as snow plowing/shoveling and manual mowing.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 35 - 45.25

Key Requirements

•High School / GED (Solar Tech 1) or High School Diploma / GED (Solar Tech 2).
•Driver license number with a valid license in state (and valid upon hire for Solar Tech 2).
•For Solar Tech 2, qualify by bidding from the required classification and passing the applicable prequalification test.
•For Solar Tech 2 when bidding from a lower or equal classification, have at least one (1) year in the Solar Technician I role prior to reporting.
•Ability to perform basic Lockout/Tagout activities and support safe, reliable photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage System operations.
