Lead design and delivery of medium to extra-high voltage substations, overseeing multi-site projects from concept through construction. Collaborate with a power & energy substation team, manage schedules and budgets, mentor junior staff, ensure QA/QC, and coordinate with subcontractors while maintaining safety and client relations in a hybrid/office setting in Saint Louis.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the detailed design of medium to extra-high-voltage substations, including one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA/communications, and station layouts.
•Develop supporting design documents such as sections/elevations, control enclosure details, cable/conduit plans, ground grid plans, foundation and structural details, and bills of materials.
•Perform substation analyses and calculations (e.g., AC/DC studies, voltage drop) and specify/select equipment with construction support.
•Mentor and train team members while adhering to client standards and QA/QC processes.
•Travel as required for site visits and project needs.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
•7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in substation design
•Professional Engineering license (PE)
•Experience in 15kV through 230kV substation design and IEEE/ANSI standards
•Experience managing several substation projects concurrently
