Key Responsibilities

•Define architecture and lead the design of key agentic-first subsystems across the Nexus Repository Manager
•Own a major product area from ambiguous problems through technical design, multi-team execution, rollout, and long-term operability
•Define evals, harnesses, guardrails, and review rituals to ensure ships code with high quality and low human-typing
•Shape internal engineering practices, tooling, and rituals; mentor Senior engineers and raise the craft
•Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Security Research, UX, and Support to translate customer needs into concrete, shippable plans

Key Requirements

•7+ years of professional software development with a track record of leading multi-quarter technical initiatives spanning multiple teams or services
•Strong experience with Java, Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP), and large-scale distributed systems
•Working knowledge of software supply chain security (SBOM formats such as CycloneDX and SPDX, SCA, SLSA provenance, Sigstore/cosign, OSV/NVD)
•Ability to own non-functional requirements including performance, reliability, and security for a product area
•Experience in cross-functional leadership and mentoring Senior engineers to elevate craft and deliverables
