Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain environmental compliance with applicable regulations (AQMD, LACSD, CARB, RWQCB, DTSC, CERCLA, CUPA, DOT, EPA) and other agencies.
  • •Perform tasks related to hazardous waste handling, storage and disposal requirements.
  • •Monitor and manage hazardous waste levels at department satellite accumulation areas.
  • •Perform waste determinations of new waste streams.
  • •Ensure all waste is properly labeled and stored according to classification.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •4+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health and safety programs.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in environmental engineering (preferred).
  • •California regulatory and environmental compliance experience (preferred).
  • •Experience developing and maintaining air emissions permits under South Coast AQMD jurisdiction (preferred).
