Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage external infrastructure improvements and upgrades with relevant providers and business partners.
  • •Identify and mitigate risks in procuring commodity-traded utilities in partnership with Group Procurement and risk management consultants.
  • •Set annual utility budgets and manage costs and compliance related to water and trade effluent; compile carbon and water roadmaps.
  • •Develop management information on consumption trends, manage data and billing requirements across company locations, and provide predicted monthly spend accruals.
  • •Lead energy legal compliance including ESOS audits and documentation (including HMRC climate change levy tax relief), plus energy policy/strategy and regulatory data management.

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering degree, equivalent qualification, or demonstrable relevant experience.
  • •In-depth knowledge of utilities markets and energy conservation, including experience with engineering projects across multiple process disciplines.
  • •Experience working in a risk management environment with an understanding of current UK energy and carbon-related legislation.
  • •Ability to financially manage cost centre and project budgets using an integrated business management system.
  • •Ability to compile and manage data into clear, concise reports for management and project teams.
